Brazil is a mostly tropical country. Brazil is mostly flat to rolling lowlands in north; some plains, hills, mountains, and narrow coastal belt. Brazil is the 6th largest country in the world, the total area of Brazil is 8,515,770 sq km. The mean elevation is 320 m the lowest point is 0 m at the Atlantic Ocean, and the highest point in Brazil is 2,994 m at Pico de Neblina. 32.9% of the land is used for agriculture, 61.9% of the land is forests, 5.2% is other uses of the land. There are recurring droughts in the northeast, floods and occasional frost in the south. The reason its floods a lot is because, of the plains and very flat environment of Brazil also because its a tropical environment and which makes it rain a lot. Brazil borders 10 other countries. Deforestation is a major problem in the Amazon Rain Forest, it hurts its environment by killing animals and the plants that are indigenous to that area.
